Flores is a small town actually the island on the lake Peten Itza. This is a great stop and the gateway for those who wants to see Tical - archaeological Maya site. It took me half a day to reach this place from Belize but the connection is quite OK half an hour boat from the island to Belize city and then 5 hours bus ride with an hour break to cross the border.

Flores to małe miasteczko a właściwie to wyspa na jeziorze Peten Itza. Miły przystanek dla tych którzy chcą odwiedzić Tical - miasto Mayów. Dotarcie tutaj zajęło mi pół dnia, z wyspy do Belize City półgodzinna przeprawa łódką a później 5 godzin autobusem z godzinną przeprawą przez granicę
The whole island can be visited in an hour or two and this is a nice walk up and down the hill. There is a lot of charming streets with colorful houses, the church on the top of the hill and a lot of small restaurants and cafes

Całą wyspę można zwiedzić w godzinę lub dwie. Przyjemny spacerek po uliczkach z kolorowymi domami, kościółkiem na wzgórzu i wieloma małymi restauracjami oraz czarującymi kafejkami
The lake is very warm so after the walk you can also have a swim. If this is not enough you can take a boat and go across the lake to the view point with fantastic panorama of the lake and then visit small museum and the radio station on the neighboring island

Woda w jeziorze jest cieplutka więc po spacerku można sobie popływać. A jak to jeszcze mało to małą łódeczka można przepłynąć jezioro i pospacerować na punkt widokowy z fantastyczną panoramą całego jeziora a w drodze powrotnej odwiedzić małe muzeum i radiostację na sąsiedniej wysepce
Custodian of this place is a really great guy, he gave me a tour over this very little museum of the Maya culture as well as the old radio station and other very old equipment even with demonstration how it worked. At the end of the tour I have visited the current radio station where I became a star of the day.

Kustosz tego muzeum to bardzo zacny koleś. Oprowadził mnie po muzeum gdzie mają trochę eksponatów z czasów Majów a także starą radiostację i rożne sprzęty z czasów dawnych i dawniejszych. Niektóre sprzęty wciąż działają więc nawet je uruchomił dla mnie.
No a na koniec to odwiedziliśmy aktualną radiostację gdzie zostałem gwiazdą dnia:
