Nepal, Kathmandu - Time to say Good Bye / Czas się pożegnać

So this is it - time to say Nepal good bye - it was a great time here. I will be flying to Bangkok and then to the Philippines. On the way to the airport I stopped to see the biggest pagoda in Kathmandu. You can not see it from the street but when you get in the view is awesome

Czas pożegnać Nepal - było zacnie. Czas na Filipiny ale wcześniej przystanek w Bankoku.

Po drodze na lotnisko jeszcze odwiedziłem największą pagodę w Kathamndu. Nie widać jej z ulicy ale gdy wejdziesz na ten placyk to widok niesamowity

Bisket Jatra, Bhaktapur, Nepal

So the New Nepali Year has come and also additional news break up - there is a Bisket Jatra Festival in neighboring Bhaktapur so let's go. Good byes has been said to my guys and I took a taxi and went to Bhaktapur. Unfortunately nobody could give accurate information what is it about and what will happen so for hours I was browsing throughout the street of the city taking the picture of the growing crowed. Eventually some tourist advised me that all starts at around 16 and point out the place where I should be. So I got there early enough to secure good place for the pictures. Waiting was long and it has started after 17. What they do is breaking the tree - so there is 4 teams representing all 4 directions so the guys from around these villages compete on which side the tree will foll down - and the Bhaktapur people won. Than they have two chariots wooden one which must weight a lot. They drug it from the square on the bottom of the city up hill to some square in the center.
They have started well when they have left the starting point reaching half way I have moved to the top square to what happen next. Walking for so long I have found the good short cut and got strategic position and .... I was waiting and waiting, there was more and more people but the chariot was nowhere seen - after 2 hours it was getting dark and finally the crowed started to cheer and we could see the front  of it ... but they stuck again and could not do much about it
Lots of people was trying to help with these huge ropes but could not do much.... at least I haven't seen how it ended as I needed to go back to Kathmandu
It was still amazing to see it all

No to mamy nowy Nepalski rok oraz info że chłopaki w sąsiednim miasteczku obchodzą nowy rok - mają tam festiwal zwany Bisket Jatra. Not to się pożegnałem z drużyna pierścienia i w drogę. Wziąłem taksówkę i ruszyłem do Bhaktapuru. Nikt niestety nie był wstanie powiedzieć co się tu dzieje i gdzie wiec błąkałem się po mieście i robiłem fotki a tłum gęstniał. w końcu jacyś turyści mnie uświadomili co i gdzie. Więc zabrałem się w to miejsce zająłem strategiczną pozycje do zdjęć i czekałem. Miało się to zacząć ponoć o 16 ale zaczęło po 17.
Na początek łamali drzewo ustawione w centralnym miejscu placu, 4 drużyny reprezentujące cztery strony  świata i wioski z tych kierunków ciągną za sznury przywiązane do drzewa i wygrywa ten kto przechyli drzewo albo złamie na swoją stronę. po długich a ciężkich złamali drzewo i wygrał Bhaktapur.
A potem chłopaki ciągną rydwany. Maja dwa duży i mały. Duży to pewnie waży tony - chłopaki maja ogromne liny do niego przyczepione i walczą. Muszą go przeciągnąć z dolnego placu do centralnego placyku który jest ciut pod górkę - sporą górkę po uliczkach z zakrętami.
Początek był niezły jak zniknęli mi z oczu to przeniosłem się na górny plac - wcześniej wy kumałem skrót. Wiec znów zająłem strategiczną pozycję i czekam i czekam .. w końcu się ściemniło i już straciłem nadzieje ale nagle krzyk pisk radość i wyłania  się z  za zakrętu ale tylko kawałek no i znowu utknęli ale już na dobre. Mnóstwo ludzi starało się pomóc ale już nie zobaczyłem czy się udało bo musiałem się ewakuować do Kathmandu
Ale warto było przyjechać - niesamowite

Happy Nepale New Year 2071

Well it happen for us to be in Kathmandu for their New Year Eve - 13.04.2071 and yes this is not mistaken somehow we lost couple of years and them become 2071. What happens during Nepali New Year - well not much, people just go to the bar for a drink, there is nothing special on the street, like concert or some sort of shows, entertainment just like weekend. This is rather family gathering then anything else. Si we have followed the crowd for a while but then we decide to get some liqueur and join the street party. And then we got another year older or more. Mixing a bit calendars I'm 99 since that night so a bit of respect please :)

Tak się  złożyło że wylądowaliśmy w Kathmandu w Nepalski Nowy Rok to znaczy Nepalki Sylwester 13.04.2071 i to nie pomyłka parę lat nam uciekło w między czasie. A co robią w Nepalu na nowy rok? No okazuje się ze nie za wiele, idą do baru albo jakiegoś klubu na parę drinków i to byłoby na tyle. To raczej dzień obchodzony z rodzinką. Pośledziliśmy trochę tłum ale ostatecznie zakupiliśmy wiktuały w pobliskim markecie i dołączyliśmy do gromad ulicznych świętujących podobnie jak my z Ryszardem :)

I w którymś momencie nagle mieszając troszeczkę kalendarze dobiłem 99 wiec teraz z szacunkiem proszę :)

Pashupatinath, Kathmandu, Nepal

Well I did not expect to visit crematorium but looks like it is the place on the tourist map in Kathmandu. The place looks like some kind of Durban square with the river in the middle where the dead are being washed before cremation.It all looks creepy, you look at the dead buddies, family in grief, whole ceremony and then dead being burned. Somehow wrong but there is a lot of local being there and watching it as well so I guess it is OK to see it but still strange

Nie planowałem odwiedzin krematorium ale wygląda na to że to także jest atrakcją turystyczną.

Samo miejsce wygląda jak plac pałacowy w byłych stolicach z rzeczką płynącą pośrodku, w której ciało zmarłego jest myte przed kremacją. Wszystko to wygląda jakoś dziwnie jesteś tam oglądasz zwłoki, rodzinę w rozpaczy całą ceremonię a później samo zapalenie stosu i kremację.

Jakoś dziwnie jest tam być choć mnóstwo mieszkańców Kathmandu tam jest i śledzi całą ceremonie wiec pewnie to nie świętokradztwo czy coś takiego ale wciąż dziwnie

Nepal, Himalayah - Mountain Flight / Lot widokowy

After Nagarkot I have returned to Kathmandu by local buses - quite and experience but fun and then well I haven't seen mountain much because of the clouds and haze so I booked myself for a mountain flight next day. Waking up was a challenge as my polish team has returned from their hiking and we finished exploring Kathmandu quite late but also it starts very early morning 6 and you still need to get there. But I have finely made it. Flight last for an hour and there is like 10 -15 minutes for each side of the plain to enjoy the view. It was not the clearest sky but still the view was amaizing

Z Nagarkotu wróciłem lokalnym autobusem do Kathmandu, no zabawa przednia ale fajnie. Ponieważ za wiele gór nie widziałem w Nagarkocie wiec zarezerwowałem sobie lot widokowy następnego dnia. Pobudka była jak zwykle okropna, po pierwsze późno się położyłem bo moja polska gromadka zeszła z gór wiec eksplorowaliśmy miasto no i lot jest o 6 rano i jeszcze trzeba się tam dostać. No ale się udało. Lot trwa godzinkę z czego każda ze stron samolotu ma jakieś 10 - 15 minut na podziwianie widoków.

Widoki zacne ale powietrze nie było najklarowniejsze, lekko zadymione

Nagarkot, Nepal - Lost / Zagubiony

I come up with this idea that maybe I shall move my ass and walk somewhere - there is this view point an hour away so I thought why not - got direction from reception from a new guy and well guess what - he send some place else :)

Well I was walking and walking but this was very nice walk great views especially this terraces just fantastic so I did not mind - and most of the time I was going down, Well at some point I have reach the village and my place was so far up there - upss. And then I have started hiking back through the terraces - nice but quite a hike

Tak dziś wymyśliłem że czas się gdzieś ruszyć, jest tu niedaleko punk widokowy wiec pomyślałem czemu nie godzinny spacerek bomba, przepytałem w recepcji kolesia - jakiś nowy - w którą stronę mam pójść i w drogę. Oczywiście wysłał mnie w przeciwnym kierunku. Ale co tam spacerek zapowiadał się cudownie, piękne widoki szczególnie te tarasy niesamowite. I tak sobie szedłem głównie w dół aż dotarłem do wioski - i ta moja miejscówka była hen daleko w górze - upsss

No to żeby  nie wracać tą samą trasa ruszyłem przez pola, przez te tarasy na około - no niezła góra.

Wpompowany byłem jak koń po westernie - ale zacnie
