Uluwatu Temple and around, Bali, Indonesia / Świątynia Uluwatu i okolice, Bali, Indonezja (5-7.08.2014)

Before I leave Bali I wanted to see the Uluwatu Temple and the beaches around which are famous for it's waves. I rented a motor bike and went to see places around. The nicest one I have visited was Balangan Beach.

Przed wyjazdem z Bali chciałem jeszcze zobaczyć świątynie Uluwatu oraz okoliczne plaże które słyną z zacnych fal. Pożyczyłem wiec skuter i w drogę. Najzacniejszą plażą którą odwiedziłem była plaża Balangan

 The beach was bit hilly and not the best for swimming as there was lot of rocks by the shore but the waves were just incredible. Wish I could surf

Sama plaża była dość pochyła i nie najlepsza do pływania bo zaraz przy brzegu było mnóstwo skał ale za to fale ogromne. Szkoda że nie serfuje bo wyglądało to niesamowicie

And finally Uluwatu temple, but before I got there I was stop  -like lot's of others foreigners riding a bike - by police looking for an extra income. We all had helmets and bike documents but non of us had international driving licence - upsssss. The Police give the option either we will be taken to Denpasar to the police station and pay a million rupees or we can pay them directly half a million. I did not have that money with me so I said that I have like a hundred only and show them the wallet - so they have taken all I had and let me go - what a sweet hearts
Always split your cash into all your pockets and wallet :)

I w końcu czas zobaczyć Uluwatu, ale zanim tam dojechałem zatrzymała mnie policja - podobnie jak wielu innych obcokrajowców na skuterkach - coby sobie dorobić na boku. Wszyscy mieli kaski i dokumenty ale nikt z nas nie miał międzynarodowego prawa jazdy upssss. Policja dała nam opcje albo nas zabiorą do Denpasar na posterunek i zabulimy milion rupis albo płacimy pół miliona na miejscu. Ja za wiele nie miałem w portfelu może stówę więc powiedziałem że tylko tyle mami pokazałem portfel - chłopaki sami mi tą kasę wyciągnęli z portfela i puścili wolno - co za łaskawcy
Zawsze dziel kasę na wiele kieszeni i portfel :)

The Uluwatu temple was not that impressive, the highlight was not a temple but a cliff which it has been build on. Nice view

Świątynia Uluwatu nie zabija takie maleństwo ale za to widoki z klifu na którym stoi bardzo zacne

So that would be it as far as Bali is concerned time to move on but I enjoyed staying here so very much recommended island

To by było na tyle jeżeli chodzi o Bali - czas ruszać dalej ale bardzo mi się tu podobało i naprawdę warto tą wyspę odwiedzić - polecam

Amed, Bali, Indonesia (3-5.08.2014)

Amed has a gravel beach so not the best place for lazy beach holidays. It's known for its diving spots but you can snorkel here too. I have tried snorkeling once but it was too windy so I did not see much

If you are not a diver I guess it's better to skip this place

Amed ma kamieniste plaże więc nie jest to najlepsze miejsce na leniwe wakacje na plaży. Za to mają tu wiele ciekawych miejsc do nurkowania. Można też posnorkować - raz się skusiłem ale morze było wzburzone wiec nie wiele zobaczyłem wartego uwagi. Jeżeli ktoś nie planuje nurkować to lepiej sobie to miejsce odpuścić

I was staying in the bamboo hut not far from the beach and during the night the sea makes so much noise that is hard to sleep at first but when you get used to it is lake a lullaby.

I have stayed here for 2 nights hard working doing nothing more then reading, relaxing and supporting local business mainly restaurants and a bars

Mieszkałem tutaj w bambusowej chatce niedaleko od plaży. Huk morza w nocy był niesamowity, Uderzające fale kotłowały kamieniami i miało się wrażenie jakby lawina kamieni osuwała się gdzieś nieopodal. Na początku ciężko było zasnąć w tym hałasie ale jak już się człowiek przyzwyczai to brzmi jak kołysanka.

Zostałem tu dwie noce harując jak wół nic nie robiąc - głównie czytałem i wspierałem lokalne przedsiębiorstwa głównie restauracje i bary  

From Amed I went to Kuta area to be be closed to the airport and Uluwatu temple which I wanted to see before I leave. Countryside on the way there is truly amazing especially the rice fields

Z Amed ruszyłem w okolice Kuty aby być blisko lotniska oraz świątyni Uluwatu którą chciałem zobaczyć przed wyjazdem. Po drodze można było podziwiać przepiękne krajobrazy w szczególności pola ryżowe

Pura Ulun Danu Batu, Bali, Indonesia (3.08.2014)

Pura Ulun Danu Batu is the small village overlooking the volcano. 

The place is amazing because of the location and the wonderful view but.... 

I was feeling there like hunted animal. On the streets everybody wants to sell you something, the trip, the taxi, souvenir and so on, and doing it very aggressively and when you are not interested being very rude and hostile. This would be a street live but when you get to the hotel or the restaurant they are so nice people. The problem is that after a lunch or dinner you need to hit the streets again and the hunts starts again. Chasing tourist  is kind of normal behavior in Asia but in this place they have crossed all the boundaries

Pura Ulun Danu Batu jest małą wioską z widokiem na wulkan. Miejsce jest bardzo zacne świetna lokalizacja no i ten widok ale....

Czułem się tam jak zwierzyna podczas polowania - zaszczuty. Na ulicach wszyscy chcą ci coś sprzedać a to wycieczkę lub cię podwieź albo wcisnąć ci jakąś pamiątkę robiąc to w agresywny sposób a jak nie jesteś zainteresowany to stają się bardzo nie mili wręcz wrodzy. Zupełnie inaczej zachowują się w hotelach czy restauracjach - no przemili ludzie ale kiedyś trzeba wrócić i wyjść na ulicę. Ta nagonka na turystów jest dość normalna ale w tym miejscu chłopaki przesadzili i to bardzo

Following day I woke up for a sun rise hoping for a nice view. Unfortunately it was to foggy to see anything. Instead I went to the local food market to take some pictures

Następnego dnia wstałem aby zobaczyć wschód słońca mając nadzieje na piękny widok, niestety była tak gęsta mgła że nic nie zobaczyłem. Poszedłem wiec na lokalny targ porobić parę fotek

After breakfast I went to see the local temple. I thought that it was close by but it took me like an hour walking from the place I was staying. It was a nice walk though

Po śniadanku poszedłem zobaczyć lokalną świątynie. Wydawało mi się, że była ona tuż za zakrętem ale ostatecznie tych zakrętów było całkiem sporo wiec po godzinie dotarłem na miejsce. Generalnie zacny spacerek

Initially I was thinking about staying longer and maybe hiking the volcano but after one day I had enough - great view but I did not feel welcome there so I took a taxi and went to Amed with a stop over in the Mather Temple

Pierwotnie planowałem zostać tu dłużej i może wybrać się na wulkan ale po jednym dniu miałem już dość. Zacne widoki ale kiepskie przyjęcie - zniechęcili mnie. Zorganizowałem sobie transport i pojechałem do Amed z przystankiem na zobaczenie Matki Świątyń

Pura Besakih is a huge site - very impressive place. It is considered as the most important and secret Hindu temples in Bali. Unfortunately I was unlucky with the weather. Rain, rain and rain

Pura Besakih jest wielkim kompleksem i jest uważana za najważniejszą i najbardziej świętą świątynie na Bali. Niestety do pogody nie miałem szczęścia ciągle mi lało

And finally I have reached the destination - Amed the little place on the coast known for it's diving spots

Time to see what else Bali has to offer. 

First I went to the Taman Ayun Temple which is closed to Ubut. This is a small temple but really amazing. If you get here in the morning you can have it almost for yourself. Nice and relaxing.

Czas sprawdzić co jeszcze Bali ma ciekawego do zobaczenia.

Na początek pojechałem zobaczyć świątynie Taman Ayun. Jest to mała ale bardzo ładna świątynia położona niedaleko od Ubud. Jeżeli przyjedziecie tu wcześnie rano możecie ją mieć tylko dla siebie - niesamowicie tu spokojnie i cicho można się doskonale zrelaksować

Blue sky and the sun makes it even more beautiful  - awesome place

Have you heard about Luwak Coffee. This is it - "shit" coffee :)

A słyszeliście o kawie Luwak - to ona "gówniana" kawa :)

This little animal picks the best coffee beans then it gives it back to the happy coffee makers who pick up this "shit" :) clean the coffee then roast it and here you go - the best as they say and most expensive coffee in the world

To małe zwierzątko wybiera najlepsze ziarenka kawy z drzew kawowych potem honorowo oddaje je światu i szczęśliwi kawiarze zbierają to "gówno" (co za fucha :) czyszczą je, potem prażą i tak powstaje ponoć najlepsza a na pewno najdroższa kawa na świecie

Brzmi pysznie - no nie?! :)

Going north around the village of Jatiluwih there are famous rice terraces. While getting there you can see more of them but these once have a great lookout. And the true is they are looking great. When I was there it was a shoulder season after the harvest and before new rice has been planted so not as green but still looking amazing.

Jadąc na północ zatrzymałem się w okolicach wioski Jatiluwih gdzie są słynne tarasy ryżowe. Po drodze już można zobaczyć ich wiele ale te mają najlepszy punkt widokowy. No i wyglądają zacnie to trzeba im przyznać. Ja trafiłem na okres przejściowy już po żniwach i tuż przed nowe ryż jest sadzony - wiec nie było tak cudownie zielono jak lubię ale wciąż daje radę

Ulun Danu Temple is on many postcards and there is a good reason for it. Located on the Beratan lake and surrounded by the mountains - this place is truly amazing

Świątynia Ulun Danu jest na wielu pocztówkach no i jest tego warta. Położona na małej wysepce na jeziorze Bereatan i otoczona przez góry robi niesamowite wrażenie

Sometimes you become tourist attraction - not sure who is a better one :)

Final destination for today was the village overlooking Mt Batur. The ride there was really scenic one. My driver took a little roads which were rather bumpy but the scenery was worth every bruise on my butt

Końcowy przystanek to dziś to wioska z widokiem na górę Batur. Widoki po drodze cudowne. Mój kierowca wybierał wiejskie dróżki więc były niezłe wertepy ale każdy siniec wart tych widoków

and late afternoon we have reached the final destination - Mt. Batur
